I’ve been on a lifelong search for the best affordable travel locations with the most beautiful beaches imagineable. It wasn’t until I decided to take a spontaneous vacation to the Bahamas with Hali, my girlfriend of 3 plus years, where I was able to live out my dream trip and give her the most epic birthday surprise I could scheme up. I had only seen photos all over Instagram of the smooth white sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise colored water the Bahamas had to offer. Thinking to myself, “way to turn up the saturation” and “that has to be photoshopped” on pretty much every image that popped up in my feed. Little did I know we’d be traveling to the island of no filters and I was able to capture all of it through my own lens.
Now in my 30’s and past my partying prime, I’m reluctant to jump onboard anything with the words “all-inclusive” attached to it especially when it comes to hotels or resorts. I wanted this trip to be memorable and relaxing; free of food poisoning and belligerent cruise-goers. However after searching for the best and most cost-friendly place to stay in Nassau, I came across the Warwick Paradise Island. I optimistically booked a nice waterfront room that included ALL our food from any of the four restaurants and drinks from the lobby or beach bar for our entire stay. This 1-year-old upscale looking modern-style and “Adults Only” hotel/resort would be our home for a week. I hadn’t traveled to this part of the globe before and Hali had never been out of the country except to Mexico, so I was really looking forward to sharing this new experience together. We packed only carry-ons with some of the newest ArtLife styles, our swimsuits, and other island essentials and jumped on a red-eye to the most fitting of names, “Paradise Island”.
