About the Abbot Kinney Festival: Southern California’s largest FREE community festival – now in its 32nd year. The festival draws more than 100,000 adults and families. The mile-long stretch of Abbot Kinney Blvd. is lined with FOUR great, live music stages, the Spritzer Love Lounge and HUSH Silent Disco, chalk art, dozens of artisan food vendors, popular food trucks, 300+ quality artisan and fine art vendors, and three beer gardens. The immensely popular KidsQuad has rides, family entertainment, and fun, interactive activities for all ages. The festival celebrates the diversity of creativity of Venice.

WHY: Raise money for the Abbot Kinney Festival Association (AKFA) Community Grants Program. The AKFA is made up of a primarily all-volunteer board of directors who present the festival while donating the proceeds to organizations that specifically serve Venice.

On September 25th, ArtLife set up shop for the day on the corner of Abbot Kinney & Broadway as first-timers for the 32nd Annual Abbot Kinney Festival in Venice Beach, CA. The ArtLife Van was loaded to the brim with a cornucopia of our best-sellers, brand new styles, clearance items, limited edition art prints/photographs, and more. Perfect sunny So Cal weather brought masses of people together from all walks of life to enjoy a day of sidewalk shopping and stuffing their smiles with messy street food & rust-colored beer. I’ve been a pedestrian of Venice Beach countless times but seeing this community through the eyes of a street vendor was a totally new and exciting experience. Whether it was the bargain shopper digging through the $10 clearance bin or the stylish young couple snapping selfies in-front of the van mural, no entertainment was lost with this crowd. It was a great way to spend a Sunday, but more importantly put a seal on the summer.

Thank you to the city of Venice Beach, those involved, and everyone that stopped by to show support and learn more about the brand. Looking forward to holding down this prime real estate again next year; nestled in between the beer garden and Kogi BBQ line!
